Dry season is also peak tourist season in Saint Lucia, which means that flights and resorts will be more expensive and beaches and attractions will be more crowded. If you’re planning your Saint Lucia beach wedding during dry season, plan far in advance if possible!
Rainy season corresponds with hurricane season in Saint Lucia and lasts from June – November. Although the rain only falls for a short period each day, many restaurants and even hotels will close for weeks at a time because it’s slow season.
When traveling to Saint Lucia for your wedding, you and your wedding guests won’t want things to be closed. Even though the trip will be more expensive, dry season is the best time to get married in Saint Lucia.
What are the Marriage Requirements in Saint Lucia?
It’s very easy to get married in Saint Lucia, which is another reason why it’s so popular for a destination wedding! There is no residency period and if you want to get married within 24 hours of arriving on the island, you can apply for a special license.
If you and your fiance will be on the island for 3 or more days before your wedding, you can just apply for a regular marriage license, which will be cheaper. If you want to get married the same day you arrive, mail in your documents ahead of time.
Documents you need for a Saint Lucia marriage license are your passports, birth certificates and Deed Poll if name has been changed. If either party has been divorced or widowed then Decree Absolute or Death Certificate is required.
