Beaches

When people think of a Caribbean island they envision white sandy beaches and turquoise blue waters. Guests won’t be disappointed when they arrive in St. Thomas because that is exactly what they’ll see! Since there are so many nice beaches to choose from, point your guests in the right direction.

The best beach for St. Thomas wedding groups is Honeymoon Beach. The name itself explains how romantic and pretty it is. It’s a great spot for snorkeling, as seeing sea turtles and stingrays are common! It’s a quiet and secluded spot that also has a few restaurants where you can enjoy a bite to eat and refreshing drinks!

Another great beach to check out is at Secret Harbour. The resort makes it a more lively spot. There are restaurants and wonderful snorkeling here as well! There are plenty of tropical fish and other sea life to explore.

Some more popular beaches for St. Thomas wedding groups are Lindquist Beach, Sapphire Beach and Magens Bay. Lindquist Beach doesn’t have any facilities, but it looks like a slice of heaven! It’s a popular spot for romantic wedding ceremonies. Bring your own snacks for a nice relaxing day.

Sapphire Beach is very serene and perfect for snorkeling and windsurfing. You can rent snorkeling equipment and chairs, which is very convenient! There are tropical drink vendors on the beach and a snack bar. Magens Bay is a breathtaking spot along the north coast with clear and calm water. It’s less crowded than most other beaches on the island!

Magic Ice

Need a break from the sun? St. Thomas wedding groups will love going to Magic Ice, located in downtown Charlotte Amalie. Here you’ll see exhibits made out of ice, many emphasizing the history of the Caribbean. Admission includes warm protective clothing, a drink from the ice bar and a souvenir glass!

Since they also cater special events, you can even consider having your wedding reception in this unique spot! You may be going to St. Thomas to get out of the cold, but this experience will definitely be a memorable one.

Sightseeing

There is so much to explore on this island that St. Thomas wedding groups should plan a full day or more for sightseeing. One of the best spots on the island is Drake’s Seat. This lookout provides a panoramic view of where the Atlantic Ocean meets the Caribbean Sea! It’s an incredible view perfect for photos.

Blackbeard’s Castle is another historical site that’s also beautiful to see. Here you’ll learn about the history of the Virgin Islands and enjoy more breathtaking views, since it’s at the top of the famous 99 steps. There are also a few shops you can enjoy after the climb!

Golfing

For St. Thomas wedding groups that are looking for a place to go golfing, Mahogany Run Golf Course is the place to go! It’s a stunning course, with the 14th hole located on a cliff 200 feet above the Atlantic Ocean, offering views of the other U.S. Virgin Islands and British Virgin Islands.

Although it’s a gorgeous course, it’s also challenging. It’s the only golf course on St. Thomas, most likely because the terrain is hilly. The course itself is also hilly and narrow! There is a golf shop and restaurant that guests can check out after playing.

Nightlife

St. Thomas is known for its great nightlife! Therefore, provide your guests with a list of the best places to go when the sun goes down. The most popular is Starz Nightclub & Ultra Lounge. For those that like dancing and music, this is a fun atmosphere with affordable drinks.

Another great spot is The Greenhouse, which is a restaurant and bar. Here they offer happy hour everyday from 4pm – 7pm and you can get 2 for 1 drinks and discounted appetizers! They also have nightly events and specials as well as a video lottery room.

St. Thomas is a popular island for a reason. There is so much to do and see! For those that want to spend their time relaxing, they’ll enjoy the stunning beaches. For those that don’t care for the beach there are plenty of other fun options! Your wedding guests will have a blast.
